July 17 We spent the last three days in a very HOT central Washington. Temps between 90 and 102 each day. On Monday we took a lovely 51 boat trip on Lake Chelan to a small town of Stehekin on the north end of the lake. There were lots of cottages at first then it turned to wilderness. We spent three hours there and took a bus trip to Rainbow Falls-very beautiful. On the way back to the boat we stopped at the Bakery where we found a delicious cinnamon roll for lunch. Our campsite in Daroga State Perk add electricity so Mark was able to try out our convection oven in the trailer with a wonderful fresh blueberry pie. (See picture.) The park is right next to the Columbia and we had a wonderful view of it and all the water sports going on. This had been our shake-down trip to figure out how the trailer works getting ready for the Big Trip in September. So far the truck and trailer are working very well for us. We have big list of items we need to have and I am sure more will be added before we get home. Now we are on our way to Bay View State Park on the Puget Sound. We HOPE it will be cooler closer to the water.
